State to Fund Road Improvements in Downtown Orleans

ORLEANS – Downtown Orleans will get some safety improvements thanks to a state highway project.

The two intersections that are targeted for improvements are where Main Street meets Route 6A and where Main Street meets Route 28.

Orleans Director of the Department of Public Works George Meservey says the project also includes beautification.

The public is welcome to comment at a hearing on the project on Wednesday/tomorrow at 7 PM at Orleans Town Hall.
