Steamship Authority and Hy-Line Cruises Cancel Ferries Due to Weather

WOODS HOLE – All services to and from Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket via The Woods Hole, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket Steamship authority have been canceled for the rest of the day due to Sub-Tropical Storm Melissa.

Hyannis Hy-Line Cruises has also canceled all Nantucket ferry trips for the rest of the day.  

The storm may also cause significant disruptions on both routes tomorrow, Saturday, October 12th.

Travel on the Steamships Martha’s Vineyard route will be Reservations only on Saturday.

Customers with vehicle reservations from Wednesday October 9th through Saturday, October 12th may choose to park their vehicle, free of charge at any Steamship Authority parking lot, in lieu of traveling with a vehicle.  

Steamship customers with reservations for Wednesday, October 9th through Saturday, October 12th who wish to re-book or modify a reservation call 508 477 8600 (until 4 p.m.) or 508 477 7447 (until 9 p.m.) as the reservation office will have extended hours.

All change and cancellation fees are currently waived for those who wish to change their travel arrangements.
