Steamship Authority Selects New Treasurer – Comptroller

FALMOUTH – Mark K. Rozum accepted an offer last week to become the next treasure – comptroller of the Woods Hole, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nanatucket Steamship Authority.

Rozum was unanimously appointed to the position by the Authority’s Board during its June, 18th meeting in Hyannis.

“I have every confidence that Mark is the right person to lead the Accounting Department and to continue all of our efforts to make the Steamship Authority a better company to work for and a more efficient company for the benefit of our customers,” SSA General Manager Robert B. Davis said.  

Rozum, a Falmouth native, has been with the Authority since 1996, when he was hired as a member of the Authority’s accounting and finance team.

After a stint as Reservation Manager, he returned to the accounting department to serve as Internal Audit Manager before transitioning to the Director of Terminals and Parking and the to the Operations Manager position, a post he had held since 2015.  

This appointment comes after a search led by the KLR Executive Search Group LLC produced more than 80 applications, from which 8 candidates were selected to interview for the position.

“I am thankful to Bob and The Board for this opportunity and excited to be taking the next steps in my career with the Authority,” Rozum said.

Prior to joining the SSA, Rozum was a portfolio accountant at State Street Bank and Trust in Quincy, Massachusetts.
