M/V Nantucket

HYANNIS – The Steamship Authority’s M/V Nantucket is back in service today after a power issue last night.

The vessel lost power to a main engine during a trip between Hyannis and Nantucket.

The Steamship Authority says the Coast Guard cleared the vessel to return to service after repairs were made and sea trials were conducted.

The M/V Nantucket returned to service with the noon trip between Hyannis and Nantucket.

More than 500 Steamship Authority trips have been canceled so far this year due to mechanical issues.
