Student Walkout Planned on Cape Cod Next Week

CAPE COD – Schools from across the nation will be joined by the students of many Cape Cod high schools as they participate in a national walk-out to protest the inaction of congress related to curbing gun violence.

There will be similar demonstrations worldwide.

It will take place on Wednesday, March 14 at 10:00 AM and last 17 minutes in memory of the 17 students who were recently gunned down in Parkland, Florida.

Simultaneous rallying points have been set up for non-students throughout the Outer and Lower Cape.

Participants are encouraged to bring signs and to document the events through photographs and videos.

For a list of participating schools and other locations, visit Indivisible Outer Cape’s Facebook page.
