Students Set To Help Fight Hunger On The Cape

HARWICH – The 26th annual Soup Bowls for Hunger will take place at Cape Cod Regional Technical High School on April 11.

All proceeds will go to the Family Pantry, which provides food to those in need across the Cape.

For the first time, art students from Monomoy and Nauset High Schools will contribute bowls, with additional ones being provided by professional potters and students from various Cape cultural organizations.

Americorps will assist in the setup of the cafeteria.

The “soup line meal” consists of a roll, coffee or tea and soup served in one of the handmade bowls.  As a reminder of hunger on Cape Cod, participants get to keep theirs.

There will be sittings at 5:30, 6:00, and 6:30.

Tickets are $18 and can be ordered at www.capecodpotters.org or www.thefamilypantry.com.
