WAQUOIT – The Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve is searching for a summer research intern.
This opportunity will provide a wide range of experiences which could be beneficial in pursuing future education or employment.
The candidate will interact with the staff and visiting scientists in a one of a kind ambiance located at a historic estate overlooking Waquoit Bay and assist with both field and laboratory work.
The right candidate will have at least two years in undergraduate biology, chemistry, or environmental science.
There will be many projects including analyzing local water samples in the lab, calibrating water quality and meteorological equipment for field data collection, and monitoring salt marsh elevation, plant communities, and crab populations to track climate change impacts.
