United Way Sponsors ‘Good Tidings’ To Fundraise for Local Nonprofits

BARNSTABLE – The United Way’s Cape & Islands office is sponsoring a holiday campaign to raise money for its grant giving programs that funds non-profits that serve essential human needs of those who live on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket.

The Cape and Islands United Way mission is “to increase the organized capacity for people on Cape Cod and the Islands to care for one another and to improve the human condition of the region.”

The agency is focused on “improving the human condition of our residents through the responsible development and deployment of financial, human and collaborative resources for the quality of life of current and future generations.”

The areas of concentration for the agency’s grants are the following: Nurturing and Protecting Children and Youth; Supporting and Sustaining Families; and Support for Aging and Vulnerable Populations.
