Suspect in Marshfield Slaying Scheduled for Arraignment

PoliceMARSHFIELD, Mass. (AP) — A Boston man charged with killing a Marshfield man in his home earlier this month is scheduled to go before a judge.

James Ferguson of Dorchester is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Plymouth District Court on murder and other charges stemming from the Sept. 16 death of 43-year-old Robert McKenna.

McKenna was found dead in his home of several stab wounds and suffered massive blood loss.

District Attorney Timothy Cruz and police Chief Phillip Tavares say investigators were led to the suspect through DNA evidence recovered from a piece of clothing found at the scene.

Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the slaying, but said the suspect once lived in Marshfield.

It’s not clear if the suspect has a lawyer.
