HYANNIS – The Cape Cod Symphony will feature its own Concertmaster Jae Cosmos Lee in an upcoming performance featuring the music of Mozart.

Mozart At Last, will be held on Saturday April 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday April 10 at 3 p.m. at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center in Hyannis.

In addition, a pre-concert briefing will be held an hour before both shows at the Knight Auditorium, hosted by Dr. John Clark, where Clark will guide guests through an exploration of each classical performance.

First joining the Cape Symphony as concertmaster in 2013, Lee helped successfully launch Nth Degree in 2014, and was also nominated for a Grammy in 2015 for A Far Cry, an ensemble based on Jamaica Plain.

During April’s performance, Lee will be the guest soloist during Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5, and while excited, Lee says that it’s also “nerve-wracking” to be performing this particular piece as a soloist.

Preceding the April performances will be a luncheon on Friday April 8 at Alberto’s Ristorante in Hyannis that will feature Lee as well as Artistic Director Jung-Ho Pak. The luncheon starts at 11:45 a.m., tickets for non-guild members are $35, and $30 for members.
