BARNSTABLE – Tales of Cape Cod is hosting a number of events in September at the Olde Colonial Courthouse in Barnstable Village.
On September 11, author Robin Smith-Johnson will explore her growing up years in a 200-year-old house in Orleans and the influence of her parents.
She will share historic tales of shipwrecks, murders, hauntings and more from the Cape.
On September 18 at 7:30 p.m., photographer, author and Chatham conservationist John King will share insights into his personal voyage of the coastal and ocean wildlife in the waters off Cape Cod and elsewhere in the world.
He will share his stories and photographs of encounters with sharks and whales.
And on September 25, Cahoon Museum of American Art Director and Curator Sarah Johnson will tell the unique story of the museum.
Built by the Crocker family between 1775 and 1782, the historic building served as a home to five generations of Crockers, operated as a tavern and become the home and studio of legendary Cape Cod folk artists Ralph and Martha Cahoon.
Admission to the events is $5 for members and $10 for non-members.
