HYANNIS – An inaugural fundraiser will be held in Hyannis Thursday to support the HyArts Discovery Walk.
The discovery walk is a path of commissioned artworks within the HyArts Cultural District to encourage visitors to explore several areas of interest with a focus on Main Street and Hyannis Harbor.
The program, which began from grant funding last year, features sculptures that reflect the beauty of the area.
The inaugural Taste of Art fundraiser for the walk is Thursday, October 12 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Attendees will enjoy artfully plated appetizers while strolling between a half-dozen restaurants on Main Street.
Taste of Art will help to raise funding for the next two phases of the discovery walk, including fabrication and installation of the sculptures.
Tickets for the event are $50 per person and only 100 tickets will be sold.
They can be purchased at A Taste of Art dot Event brite dot com or the day of the event beginning at 5 p.m. at the Guyer Barn on South Street, where models of the sculptures will be on display.
