‘Team Hoyt’ Father to Speak in Woods Hole

WOODS HOLE – A father who has competed in more than 1,000 running races with his son for charity as part of “Team Hoyt” will speak at the next Marine Biological Laboratory Falmouth Forum.

Since 1977, Dick Hoyt has competed with his son Rick, who was born as a spastic quadriplegic with cerebral palsy, in marathons, duathlons and triathlons.

The free event, “Together You Can Do Anything,” will be held Friday, December 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the MBL Lillie Auditorium in Woods Hole.

An optional dinner will precede the lecture at 6 p.m. in the Swoope Conference Center. Tickets for the meal are $30 each and include a choice of two entrees, wine, dessert, tax and gratuity. The tickets can be purchased at Eight Cousins Bookstore or at the MBL Communications office through November 29.
