Teenagers Accused of Hyannis Break-In

police carHYANNIS – Barnstable police say a car break-in was halted in progress early Tuesday morning.

Police received a call from a resident on Stevens Street, saying that a car was being broken into by three people.

Police arrested one teenager in connection with the break-in; two others have been identified and will be summoned to court. They face charges of breaking and entering a motor vehicle at night.

Barnstable police are encouraging residents to lock their vehicles.
