Telethon for Hope Aids Local Housing Programs

HYANNIS – The 16th annual Telethon for Hope was held Saturday at Barnstable High School during LoveLocal Fest: Holiday Edition.

Housing Assistance Corporation Cape Cod and Love Live Local teamed up to raise nearly $55,000 for housing programs across Cape Cod and the Islands.

“Everybody loved it, and it was a great success to help so many of our neighbors in need this holiday season,” said HAC Chief Development Officer Anne Van Vleck.

HAC has announced that donations for the Telethon for Hope are still open. The goal is $60,000, Van Vleck explained, in order to ensure people across the area have a place to call home during this time of the year.

“We are still looking for more contributions. We would love if people are inspired to give,” she continued.

“They can text to give, or go to our website and reach out that way. It’s not too late if people want to give back.”

Donations via text can be completed by texting HAC4HOPE to 41411. Donations can also be completed at www.haconcapecod.org.
