FALMOUTH – TGC at Sacconnesset will announce a newly-formed partnership with the Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center at the Club House on Monday.
The TGC at Sacconesset, formerly known as the TGC, has long been a supporter of veteran and military causes on the Cape.
The group has shown great support to military veterans on the Cape and their families with the annual “TGC for the Troops” Golf Tournament preceded by thei “Veterans Clinic.”
It’s proceeds have always been placed into a fund held by the Cape Cod Foundation, which then funded grant requests for various military and veteran projects, one of which was a significant donation to the Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center of a van which was desperately needed for a variety of veteran purposes.
The Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center says its sincerely honored by the Club’s offer for a partnership to support the multiple programs in food assistance, housing, counseling, holistic therapies, and education of the veteran perspective on Cape Cod.
The first event sponsored by this new partnership will be the “TGC for the Troops” Tournament to be held on Monday, June 10th, 2019, and to be preceded by the traditional Veterans Golf Clinic on Sunday the 9th, both at the TGC of Sacconnesset.
Both organizations are excited by this collaboration and the support it will bring to the widest range of veteran services on Cape Cod.
