HYANNIS – Despite the frigid temperatures, the tradition of Thanksgiving Day high school football games on Cape Cod continued.
In blow outs, Falmouth clobbered Barnstable 36-14; Mashpee crushed Sandwich 34-7; and Plymouth North pummeled Plymouth South 27-0.
In closer, low-scoring contests, St. John Paul II topped Monomoy 12-6; and Cape Tech beat Upper Cape Tech 6-0 to win the Golden Wrench.
Last night, Nauset beat Dennis-Yarmouth 26-20 and Bourne shutout Wareham 39-0. Those games were moved up due to the cold.
