Ocean Conservation Topic of July 26 MBL Friday Evening Lecture

WOODS HOLE – CEO and Founder of Ocean Collectiv Ayana Elizabeth Johnson will discuss the practicalities of ocean conservation during the Marine Biological Laboratory’s Friday Evening Lecture on July 26.

The talk, titled “The Future of Ocean Conservation”, will be held at 8 p.m. in the Lillie Auditorium in Woods Hole.

Ocean Collectiv is a strategy consulting firm with ideas about ocean conservation solutions.

Johnson also works as an adjunct professor at New York University and as a science scholar at Pioneer Works.

The lecture will also cover topics such as zoning, seafood, cities, the Green New Deal, coastal ecosystems, sea level rise and culture.

The event is free and open to the public.
