COTUIT – There are 26 theaters spread over Cape Cod’s 15 towns and the islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. The organization that unites them all, the Cape and Islands Theater Coalition, will hold its annual gala tonight that doubles as a twentieth anniversary celebration.

The Friends of the Cape and Islands Theater Coalition is presenting the Seasons Highlights Celebration on Tuesday, October 13, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Cotuit Center for the Arts.

State Senator Dan Wolf will emcee the gala, which will feature performances from four of the coalition’s five founding theaters: Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater (WHAT); the Academy of Performing Arts in Orleans; Cape Rep Theater in Brewster; Cape Cod Theatre Company, which was formerly called Harwich Junior Theatre; as well as performances from the host theater, Cotuit Center for the Arts, and the coalition’s newest member, Barnstable Comedy Club.

Tickets cost $50 or $40 for members of the Friends of the Cape and Islands Theater Coalition. For tickets, call 508-548-0669 or click here.
