Third Annual ‘Discover Barnstable’ Program Expands to Three Days Per Week

BARNSTABLE – Back by popular demand, the Gateway Greeter Program “Discover Barnstable” has once again partnered with various town departments to develop fun, free interactive talks and activities throughout the summer.

The program has also now expanded to 3 days per week at Bismore Park and the Hyannis Harbor Overlook.

Families are invited to participate in a wide variety of organized and educational activities, exploring services and programs that enhance quality of life and support the needs of the community.

This year’s participating departments include: Animal Control, Arts & Culture, Barnstable Municipal Airport, Channel 18, Clean Water Coalition, Golf, Hyannis Public Library, Parking, Recreation, Senior Services, Town Clerk and Natural Resources.

Free parking is available at the Town Hall lot, while paid parking is available directly at Ocean Street lot or Bismore Park.

No reservations are required and the program is free and open to everyone.
