Three Injured in Two-Car Crash on Rt. 132

police car02HYANNIS- Barnstable Police have cited an Ohio man for failing to stop at a red light after a two-car collision yesterday.

Police and fire crews responded to the accident between Capetown Plaza and Cape Cod Mall just after 5 p.m.

Police say a vehicle with two adults and a child, was traveling on Rt. 132 towards the Airport Rotary and made a left turn at a green light at an attempt to turn into Capetown Plaza, when they were hit by another vehicle.

That vehicle, driven by John Leyen of Avon, OH, drove through a red light before it struck the vehicle, according to Police.

The three occupants in the vehicle were transported by Hyannis Fire to Cape Cod Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
