OCEAN CITY, MARYLAND – Three endangered sea turtles that washed up on the Cape were released back into the wild yesterday by rescuers from the New England Aquarium.
Crews drove to Ocean City, Maryland to release two Kemp’s Ridley turtles and a 30-pound loggerhead into the warm mid-Atlantic waters.
One of the turtles, a 12-pounder named Golden Crisp, was the last of more than 80 turtles from last stranding season to be released.
