NANTUCKET – Tickets are now on sale for a number of events at the annual Nantucket Book Festival.
A schedule of over 40 events for all ages, most of which are free, are posted on the festival’s website, nantucketbookfestival.org/events with tickets also available for the number of paid events.
In its eighth year, the Nantucket Book Festival has established itself as a major summer destination for booklovers with impressive and electric lineups of award winning authors.
The four-day festival will feature author readings, panel discussions and social events in an informal atmosphere that encourages conversations between readers and writers.
Some highlights of this year’s festival include presentations by acclaimed authors Esi Edugyan, Susan Orlean and Dave Cullen. The islands favorite literary son, Nathaniel Philbrick, will discuss his third book in his Revolutionary War series, entitled In the Hurricane’s Eye: The Genius of George Washington and the Victory at Yorktown.
The festival will also host a local tent in the Nantucket Atheneum garden of local authors selling and signing their books, story time reading for children, and more.
The Nantucket Book Festival takes place this year from June 13 through June 16.
