OAK BLUFFS – It was Town Meeting Tuesday on Martha’s Vineyard as four of the six municipalities on the island tackled town business.

In Tisbury, voters spent hours debating the proposed new $46.6 million school building. The meeting was adjourned late Tuesday without a resolution and will continue Wednesday.

Oak Bluffs voters gave their approval for a ban on mopeds without debate. The matter needs to go to the state legislature in the form of a home rule petition.

Edgartown voters approved a $36.8 million operating budget and okayed $1.2 million to make repairs to a hangar at the Katama Airfield that dates back to World War II.

In West Tisbury, residents approved an $18.9 million operating budget.
