Town Of Barstable Receives Budget Award Once Again

BARNSTABLE – The Town of Barnstable has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. 

It reflects the recipient’s commitment to the highest principals of a governing body’s budgeting process. 

The documents provided must be rated “proficient” in four categories.  These are, how well the budget provides a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide and a communication device.

In addition, there are also 14 criteria within those categories. 

This is the 17^th year that Barnstable has been recognized by the GFOA.
