Town of Chatham Updates OSV Access on North Beach

CHATHAM – OSV access to the southern portion of Chatham’s North Beach is being modified as a result of changing conditions.

Trail 7 has been closed with all access to the front beach now via the intermediate access between Trails 6 and 7.

The intermediate access is marked by signage.

From the intermediate access, OSV’s may park on the front beach north to the closure near Trail 6 or proceed south, through a “No parking/No Stopping” area, toward the inlet.

The OSV corridor and closed areas south of the flagpole remain as previously established.

Due to the narrow configuration of the beach, vehicles are asked to park on the crest parallel to the ocean, leaving enough room for other vehicles to pass.

The OSV trail is next to the symbolic fence line.
