Traffic to be Impacted for Hyannis Marathon

HYANNIS – Barnstable Police are warning residents about traffic interruptions during the 34th running of the Hyannis Marathon on Sunday.

The race begins at 10 a.m. and motorists are encouraged to avoid travel in the affected areas.

The affected areas include Sea Street, Gosnold Street, Old Colony Road and Ocean Street in Hyannis, Smith Street, Marstons Avenue and Scudder Avenue in Hyannisport and Craigville Beach Road, Main Street, Old Stage Road, Pine Street and Strawberry Hill Road in Centerville.

Most intersections along the route will be closed for extended periods of time.
