Transportation Week Kicks off in Hyannis

HYANNIS – Peter Pan Bus Lines celebrated Transportation Week yesterday with the launch of their new bus services with the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority.

Peter Pan and CCRTA are joining together to make transportation easier by providing services from Provincetown to Hyannis with connecting services to Boston, Logan, Providence, NYC and more locations throughout the Northeast.

“We now serve over 20 cities and towns on the Cape and with our network of cities throughout the northeast we now can connect virtually the entire Cape to Boston and all major cities in the Northeast,” said Peter Pan CEO Peter Picknelly.

The launch began with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Hyannis Transportation Center  attended by Picknelly and Thomas Cahir, administrator for the CCRTA.

“Peter Pan Bus Line has long been a respected intercity carrier in our region,” said Cahir.

“They have been and continue to be a wonderful partner in our collective effort to provide safe, accessible and convenient service across Cape Cod and beyond.”

This new service will provide Cape Coders with a wider range of transportation, as the service includes all towns on Cape Cod.

“I try to make sure that of the 15 communities on the Cape and the 400 square miles is that every part of the Cape is able to be accessed by transportation,” Cahir continued.

Peter Pan Bus Lines is one of the largest privately owned and most reliable motor coach companies in the U.S., serving over 100 communities throughout the Northeast.

The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority has been providing public transportation services since 1976.
