Trial of 2 Men Charged with Hyannis Man’s Slaying Begins

GavelBARNSTABLE (AP) — The trial of two Boston men charged in the slaying of a Cape Cod man in 2012 has started.

Steven Webster and Eddie Mack are charged with first-degree murder, home invasion, armed assault, armed robbery and related crimes in the July 2012 shooting death of Andrew Stanley. They have pleaded not guilty.

Stanley was found by police in a Hyannis home with his hands and feet bound with duct tape. He had been shot once and later died.

Testimony is scheduled to start Tuesday.

Two other men charged in Stanley’s slaying will be tried separately.
