TRURO – Ceramic Artists looking for a concentrated creative experience have an opportunity to spend 3 months on Cape Cod this winter.
Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill is offering an artist in residence program from January 3 to March 31.
The goal of the program is to give artists a place to enhance their personal, intellectual and creative growth by expanding their body of work or creating a specific project.
Residents will get the time and space to concentrate on their work in the setting of Cape Cod and will be awarded a shared exhibition in the Castle Hill gallery during the last week of their stay.
The residency includes housing and studio space for $500 per month.
Two residents will be selected based on a review of application materials. Both residents will have personal workspace in a shared studio and they will share a 2-bedroom apartment equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, living room, laundry services and internet access.
The studio is located in Truro just steps from the ocean and offers all standard equipment including wheels, a slab roller and several kilns.
Applications and more information can be found at castlehill.org.
The deadline for artists to apply is November 1.
