Truro Fire, National Park Service, Plan Weekend Drill

_KA_Truro_Winter_Police_16_121015TRURO – Multiple fire agencies on Cape Cod will be conducting a structure fire training exercise on National Seashore land in Truro Saturday.

The National Park Service, the Truro Fire Department, and a number of cooperating mutual aid departments will be burning a portion of abandoned property on Kimberly Lane, about 1,800 feet southeast of Coast Guard Beach in Truro.

The training exercise will involve water delivery with Park Service and town engines and will allow crews to test out their communication.

The drill will take place between 10 am and 4 pm.

The exercise marks the first joint structure fire training held by the Park Service and Truro fire in more than two decades.
