Truro Officials to Continue Hearing on Dilapidated Properties

KA_Truro_Town Meeting_042616_009TRURO – On Tuesday, town officials in Truro will continue a hearing to determine if two Shore Road properties will be declared a public nuisance.

If such a declaration is made, town Selectmen would have the authority to order the owners to take remedial action.

The hearing began in April, however it was continued due to both property owners not being present.

During the original hearing, surrounding neighbors of the properties at 402 and 408 Shore Road stated their concern over the condition of the properties, and Assistant health and conservation agent Emily Beebe told the board that the buildings were “a risk for public safety.”

The meeting continues Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at Truro Town Hall.
