Truro Shark Attack Victim Improving

BOSTON – The man injured on Longnook Beach in Truro last Wednesday after being attacked by a shark is improving at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.

A hospital spokesperson said he’s been ungraded to good condition.

William Lytton, 61, of Scarsdale N.Y., was injured on his left leg and hip, he was medflighted to a trauma center in Boston after the event.

Prior to the attack, Lytton was apparently standing about thirty yards off shore.

Several dozen people witnessed the attack and say emergency responders were there immediately.

According to Truro town officials, Longnook beach remains closed to swimming until further notice, gate keepers are informing visitors as they arrive and distributing information on Great White sharks.
