Two Arrested Following Onset Break-In

thompsonONSET – Two Wareham men are facing charges in connection with a breaking and entering incident in Onset early Monday morning.

26-year-old Michael Thompson and 30-year-old Matthew Dillon-Murdock were arrested a short time after a car was broken into on Locust Street. The owner of the car noticed two men in his car around 3 a.m. and then chased them after they fled.

Police located Thompson and Dillon-Murdock a short time later and recovered the items stolen from the vehicle.

Officers believe the suspects may have also been responsible for robberies in the Point Independence and Onset Heights areas. A number of items were recovered by police that are currently unaccounted for. Residents who are missing items are asked to contact police.

Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles.

Dillon-Murdock and Thompson are scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday on charges of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle and larceny under $250.
