Two Bank Robberies Remain Unsolved

SANDWICH – Sandwich and Barnstable police continue to investigate two recent bank robberies that both remain unsolved.

The Sandwich robbery took place at Rockland Trust on Cotuit Road in on Friday, October 3.

The suspect entered the bank wearing a skeleton Halloween-style mask and displaying a black semi-automatic pistol, according to witnesses.

He ordered all bank employees and customers who were inside the bank to get on the floor.

He then grabbed an undetermined amount of cash and ran out the front door.

Police said the suspect is a white male, six feet tall, in jeans and a black sweatshirt and white sneakers.

The Osterville robbery took place at the T.D. Bank on Main Street in Osterville the previous week.

Police said the suspect was wearing a mask and no weapon was shown or alluded to.

A man suspected of robbing the TD Bank in Pocasset on Saturday was caught by police.
