Two Local Nonprofits Receive Large Donations

ORLEANS – Two local nonprofits are the recipients of generous donations from Nauset Disposal.

The Cape and Islands United Way received $10,000, while $7,500 went to the Center for Coastal Studies.  The money was raised at the company’s annual Trash Bash, which raised funds for five local nonprofit organizations.

Owner Shawn DeLude says that they are “steadfastly committed to the community in which we live and work.”

Throughout the year they donated more than $115,000.  The majority was given to groups that assist with basic needs, children’s services, veterans and the environment, which is one of their top priorities.

A local company founded in 2000, they combine their services with a strong emphasis on the future.  They are located in Orleans, provide jobs for around 50 people, and like to say that they are cleaning and greening the Cape.
