Two Teens Hospitalized in Route 6 Rollover

ambulanceBARNSTABLE – Two teenage girls were taken to Cape Cod Hospital this morning after a rollover crash on Route 6.

State Police Sergeant Daralyn Heywood from the Yarmouth barracks identified the victims as Shannon Keavy, 16, of Yarmouth, who was the driver, and Shannon Clifford, 16, of Bourne.

Barnstable Fire Chief Frank Pulsifer said both teens suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.

The vehicle was traveling eastbound when it flipped over between exits 6 and 7 around 10:45 a.m.

Pulsifer said the girls were out of the car before rescue crews arrived on scene.

The crash caused eastbound traffic delays until just after noon.

Keavy was cited for an improper lane change, according to Heywood.
