BARNSTABLE – An upcoming forum on the market for recyclable materials and its impact on local recycling programs will be held on Cape Cod next month.
Regional officials will discuss the current waste system market and what it means for the Cape at the forum on October 27th at 9 am at the Barnstable County Complex.
The workshop is designed to educate town and elected officials on the volatile recycling market, which officials say is in the midst of a significant downtown.
Officials will hear from Mike Durfor, the Executive Director of the Northeast Resource Recovery Association, and Jim Nocella, Public Sector Manager at Waste Management.
