Upcoming Lecture Presented By APCC Is Part Of 50th Anniversary Series

DENNIS – The threat of losing coastal habitats due to rising sea levels exists across the globe. 

The Association to Preserve Cape Cod says the eastern United States has great cause for concern since its coastline is heavily developed, leaving limited open spaces where habitats can move inland. 

The group, along with the Harvard Museum of Natural History, will present a lecture by Steven Handel, distinguished Professor of Ecology and Evolution, on February 27^th at Harvard’s Geological Lecture Hall in Cambridge. 

The event is free and a reception with APCC Executive Director Andrew Gottlieb will follow. 

The organization, which has existed since 1968, looks to protect, preserve and enhance the Cape’s natural resources.
