EDGARTOWN – MassDot is alerting drivers that planned work on the Vineyard may impact motor vehicle traffic during the project beginning next month.
Bike path reconstruction and related work will be conducted on the Manual Correllus State Forest Bike Path in Edgartown and West Tisbury beginning September 5th.
The work consists of reconstructing and resurfacing two sections of the existing bike path which are each approximately three miles long.
In addition, the work will include restoring and resurfacing the pavement, tree trimming and installing a sand shoulder. The agency says traffic will be impacted and drivers should use caution in the area.
The project is expected to wrap up this spring.
