Vineyard Charity Golf Classic to Tee Off Later this Month

EDGARTOWN – Fall is approaching fast on Cape Cod and the weather should be great next month for a day on the golf course to support the island of Martha’s Vineyard.

The Rotary Club of Martha’s Vineyard and Martha’s Vineyard Community Services will hold their 4th annual Vineyard Charity Golf Classic on Monday, September 24 at the Vineyard Golf Club in Edgartown.

A total of 100 players will make up 25 foursomes in the sold out event.

The tournament raises funds to help support Martha’s Vineyard Community Services wide range of programs that serve more than 6,000 residents every year.

Programs help young children, assist the disabled, counsel mental health and addiction recovery patients and assist victims of domestic violence.

The event will host special guest Max Lane. Lane played seven years for the New England Patriots and was on the first Super Bowl Championship team.

Lane will also visit with the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School football team the day before the event.

The golf tournament has raised more than $250,000 to support island programs since 2015.
