YARMOUTH – Three beach volleyball events this summer will raise money for three area charities.

The Brohaun Charity Beach Volleyball Tournament begins Sunday, July 12, at Smugglers Beach in Yarmouth, and will benefit the Jimmy Fund.

The Live for Lou Charity, based in Wellfleet, will be the second game’s beneficiary on Sunday, August 9, at Cahoon Hollow Beach in Wellfleet.

Mayflower Beach in Dennis will be the site of the final game on Sunday, August 23. That game will benefit CCYP, also known as Cape Cod Young Professionals.

Event founder and Brohaun beach supply company owner Scott Nagle said the games draw in people from across the Cape.

“There’s definitely some really good talent that shows up,” he said. “Last year we only did very little promotion and we had people come from Wellfleet to Falmouth and off-Cape specifically for this event.”

Teams of four players—preferably over 18 years old, said Nagle—can sign up, and the top four teams from the first two tournament games will advance to face off on the final day.

Those interested can sign up for any of the events at Brohaun.com.
