Volunteers Sought for Care Package Packing for Troops

BOURNE – Cape Cod Cares for the Troops is looking for volunteers as they get ready to pack 1,500 Christmas care packages for American servicemen and women serving overseas this holiday season.

The organization will be holding the annual Christmas Care Package Party on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Trowbridge Tavern in Bourne.

Volunteers will be loading the packages with items, gifts, and signed Christmas cards.

Monetary donations are also needed to help with the cost of shipping.

This is the ninth year the event has been held.
