NANTUCKET – A world-famous chamber group returns to Nantucket later this month.
The Nantucket Historical Association is bringing the Walden Chamber Players quartet to the Whaling Museum on Friday, September 15 at 7 p.m.
The group, which was founded in 1997, brings together combinations of string, piano and wind ensembles that draw from a wide range of sources and styles.
Based in New England, the players perform in some of the country’s most prestigious venues.
Their Nantucket performance will include classical pieces from Schubert, Lehrdahl, Milhaud and Beethoven.
The association’s Public Programs Coordinator Brianne Roth says the NHA is thrilled to welcome back the Walden Chamber Players and that this year’s selections will delight and inspire music lovers.
Admission is $10 per person, and free for NHA members. Tickets can be purchased at nha.org.
