Walk For Alziemer’s Next Sunday In Provincetown

PROVINCETOWN – The Alzheimer’s Family Support Center of Cape Cod is hosting their biggest event of the year next Sunday.

The walk for Alzheimer’s takes place on Commercial Street in Provincetown from 11 AM- 2 PM. The organization has set a goal of raising 100,000 dollars at the event.

“We are seeing over 1,000 client contact per month, do the math we have to raise a lot of money” said Co- Founder of The Alzheimer’s Family Support Center Melanie Braverman

The walk begins at Town hall and continues until the West End breakwater.

The event features entertainment from the Sound Dunes and lunch at Town Hall catered by Cosmos Catering.

“We had 400 people come to provincetown last year on a fairly random Sunday in the middle of October, were hoping to increase that to 500 people this year”, said Braverman

Anyone who is interested in registering and getting involved in the online fundraising campaign should visit: www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/2019-walk-for-alzheimers1.

You can contact the Support Center directly at 508-896-5170 or at [email protected] and they will create an online team page for your business, family, or friends, or they can send you a packet so you can raise money in a more traditional way.

“Our motto is until there’s a cure, there’s community”, said Braverman.
