WAREHAM – A Wareham man has been sentenced to up to 20 years in prison for fatally stabbing another man outside a convenience store in town in 2014.

Demetrius Goshen was sentenced Tuesday in Brockton Superior Court nearly a month after he was convicted of manslaughter in the October 2014 death of 23-year-old Dwayne Borges, of Brockton.

A store clerk told police he saw four men fighting with Borges before the stabbing. Prosecutors say surveillance video showed that the now 19-year-old Goshen was among the four men seen running from the Cumberland Farms store looking “happy and excited” after the stabbing and saying “We got him.”

Two other defendants have already pleaded guilty to assault and battery. Similar charges against the fourth defendant are pending.
