Wareham Police Arrest Walmart Robber

WAREHAM – Wareham Police have arrested a 32-year-old Onset man for allegedly stealing cash from the cash register of the Walmart in Cranberry Plaza on Sunday.

Around 12:15 p.m., Police responded to the Walmart location after the theft.

Police say Nathan Hufnagle was unarmed and did not disguise himself when he stole an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot.

An area search was conducted by police but they were unable to track Hufnagle down.

With the assistance of Walmart’s Loss Prevention team, police were able to identify the suspect involved in the incident and an arrest warrant was obtained.

Hufnagle was located at his job and arrested without incident in Duxbury today around 2 p.m.

Hufnagle is being held at the Wareham Police Department until he will be arraigned tomorrow on the charge of unarmed robbery at Wareham District Court.
