Wareham Woman Named Tobey Hospital Volunteer of the Year

Diane O’Brien, of Wareham, was named the 2017 Volunteer of the Year for Tobey Hospital by Southcoast Health.

NEW BEDFORD – A Wareham woman was named one of Southcoast Health’s 2017 Volunteers of the Year.

Diane O’Brien has been volunteering at Tobey Hospital since last January and works as a Patient Care Representative twice a week and greets visitors at the Patient Information Desk when needed.

Southcoast Health is a community-based health delivery system across Southeastern Mass and Rhode Island.

Southcoast Health operates Tobey Hospital, Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford and Southcoast Behavioral Health in Dartmouth.

Michael Araujo, of New Bedford, was named the VOTY at St. Luke’s; Barbara Bell, of Fall River, is the VOTY for Charlton Memorial; and Denise Lajeunesse, of Fairhaven, is the the Visiting Nurse Association’s Hospice VOTY.
