TRURO – Some of the top democrats in Massachusetts have endorsed Julian Cyr for Cape and Islands State Senate.
U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren and Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey announced their support for Cyr Thursday ahead of the Nov. 8 election.
In a statement, Warren said Cyr would be a “powerful advocate for the region.”
“Julian Cyr has the right background, experience, vision and passion to carry on the important work of my friend, Senator San Wolf, representing the Cape and Islands in the state Senate,” said Healey.
Wolf is not seeking re-election.
Cyr is running against Republican Anthony Schiavi.
