GILL, Mass – State police are still searching for the man accused of stabbing his neighbor to death in Plymouth Thursday night.

Police found a car owned by 24-year-old Tyler Hagmaier near the Connecticut River in the Western Massachusetts town of Gill, and spent the weekend searching the river to no avail.

Hagmaier is accused of killing 76-year-old Quincy College professor Vibeke Rasmussen in her apartment, stabbing her more than 35 times.

Authorities say Hagmaier has a history of mental illness. They say he should be considered dangerous and should not be approached.
